Amen for Fairy Fridays!!

 Amen for Fairy Fridays!! No I don't want to call it TGIF's ( because of the restaurant) and plus I'm an original and so is my blog. WERK!!

Can I get an Amen for my home state of Maryland who approved gay marriage yesterday in the state Senate.  If the House of Delegates approves it and the governor signs it, Maryland would be the sixth U.S. state to approve gay marriage!!  after all it is Mary-Land "the Land of Mary".. the state is named for the gays!! LOL  I might actually consider living there again after this.. Its a beautiful state.. and I love my family to pieces. Shout out to Laurel, MD.

For nine years, 'American Idol' fans could only vote for their favorite singers on the phone, either by calling or texting a number. Today, they announced that for season 10, the show is giving viewers the option to vote online starting with Tuesday night's first live show. I've never voted. but if I did I'd want to do it online for free and not pay to call or text it in. I'll say Amen for freebies!! (p.s. did you see J.Lo and her fake crying fit on Wed. night.. Gurl please)

Space shuttle Discovery, the world's most traveled spaceship, thundered into orbit for the final time yesterday, heading toward the International Space Station on a journey that marks the beginning of the end of the shuttle era. I'd like to say a big Amen to all those who have boldly gone where no one had gone before. Especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for science and exploration of our beautiful skies. You will not be forgotten. Cheers to you!

Speaking of cheers.. it is Friday and I cant say Amen without a cocktail...  Ive always been a Vodka/ Cranberry kind of girl..  but recently Ive become a Rum and Ginger w/ lime gurl. and I'm enjoying that.. but what better way to welcome the weekend with a new drink recipe to share. feel free to share a favorite of yours..I'll try it out and if it's tasty I'll publish it for all to see ( and yes, I'll give you the credit, I'm not that shady)

This weeks Amen worthy cocktail is called a "naked lady".  Now lets get something straight.. or. uh gay.. I have no interest in naked ladies.. only the drink.. I know ladies.. wipe the tears away.. There are many other fish in the sea..  just not many as cute as me.. :oP

Naked Lady

4 dashes of Apricot Brandy

1oz  White Rum

1oz  Sweet Vermouth

4 dashes of Lemon Juice

1 splash of Grenadine
